I posted these because in two days I will be done classes forever. (Final exam marks pending)
And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives
Where we're gonna be when we turn 25
I keep thinking times will never change
Keep on thinking things will always be the same
But when we leave this year we won't be coming back
No more hanging out cause we're on a different track
And if you got something that you need to say
You better say it right now cause you don't have another day
Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down
These memories are playing like a film without sound
And I keep thinking of that night in June I didn't know much of love
But it came too soon
And there was me and you
And then we got real blue
Stay at home talking on the telephone
We'd get so excited, we'd get so scared
Laughing at ourselves thinking life's not fair
And this is how it feels
As we go on
We remember
All the times we
Had together
And as our lives change
Come Whatever
We will still be
Friends Forever
So if we get the big jobs
And we make the big money
When we look back now
Will our jokes still be funny?
Will we still remember everything we learned in school?
Still be trying to break every single rule
Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man?
Will Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan?
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly
And this is how it feels
La, la, la, la:
Yeah, yeah, yeah
La, la, la, la:
We will still be friends forever
Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?
Can we survive it out there?
Can we make it somehow?
I guess I thought that this would never end
And suddenly it's like we're women and men
Will the past be a shadow that will follow us 'round?
Will these memories fade when I leave this town
I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye
Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

University Sampler Pack
I was just thinking that I would really like it if you could get a university degree by taking one of every first year introductory course. Obviously, the whole idea of a degree is being specialized in one field but I really dislike having to limit myself to one thing. Plus I would totally rock at Jeopardy!

Spring = Biking ?
Dear blog,
I was sick last week..which sucked....big time. However, I'm back on the health wagon and making up for lost time. School is be a needy little jerk right now. Soon it will be done.
The weather is kinda weird right now. Is it cold? Is it not? Make up your mind! I cannot wait to whip out the ol' bike-a-rooni. That usually doesn't happen till April though. I love making great time. If I play my cards right I can usually get places quicker than in a car. Bonus: no parking tickets.

The Bell Lap of University
I am so close to the end. If I were a lasagna, I would take off the tinfoil and put the stove on broil to finish off the cheese on top. With less than one month left of actual classes, I am feeling a combo of anxiety and excitement. I have a second interview with Saskatoon Public this Thursday. Considering this is the one and only application I submitted this year, pressure is on, although surprisingly I feel very chill going into it. I am extremely pumped for my summer job this year with SciFi summer camps. Last year was sooooooooo fun and I plan on making this year even better. Grad on Friday was really great (fav part was the cheesecake). Because I am truly swamped with work this evening I have decided to run from my problems by going lane swimming with my bro.
PEACE OUT,

Here Comes the Sun
Today was really swell.
1. I skipped my first class.
2. My second class revolved around discussing a drunken pirate. Laughs ensued.
3. I felt too warm for the first time in a few months. It was soo nice and sunny when I got home from school (early I should add because Jay's class was cancelled).
4. Therefore, I went for a run in the slush. It was wet and wild. My socks and shoes are currently drying on the front porch.
5. To finish off the day, I bought a dress for grad on Friday. It is super pretty and can't wait to wear it in two sleeps.
Your fav blogger,
Lynn
PS: The title is a really tasty Beatles song, listen to it if get the chance.

My February Break
Dear Diary,
My break was good... not great... but good. In summary, it felt like a normal weekend that kept happening over and over like that movie Groundhog Day but I didn't really look like Bill Murray and there were no rodents. Nevermind it was nothing like Groundhog Day.
I did lots of sleeping in, lots of frolicking through fields and read a book (That isn't even a metaphor for do drugs or something). I actually read Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. It was pretty swell. If you see me in person you can ask for the full review because typing is a real buzz killer. I cannot type as fast as I'm thinking and that frustrates me. I wish the comp could T9 my thoughts and type everything I was thinking.
Also, if you have a tan as you read this... watch your back. I assume you went some place hot and tropical and I am so jealous. I might take out my envy slash jealousy on you. Its not your fault you were given the gift of getting to go some place amazing while I was left at home to cry tear after tear on this keyboard. Actually, it is shorting out as I type this.
Bye Friend

My weekend...
I went swimming slash water sliding slash hot tubbing on Friday night with some peeps of mine. We went to Lakewood Civic Center. It was once I paid and took in a big whiff of the glorious smell of chlorine that I came to a realization. I realized that everyone was either not of legal drinking age or moms and dads with their little tykes. Then I remembered I LOVE SWIMMING. My favourite things include: swimming underwater from across the pool and then attacking peoples legs, stopping on the water slide and walking on my hands. My least favourite things include: floating Band-Aids and hair on the change room floor.
I am definitely not a morning person because I was whining about having to wake up crazy early on Saturday for my SciFi group interview when my dad asked "what time is it?". "It's at 10am." "That's not early!" Anyways, the interview was good. The evening unfolded at Alexanders, a far superior college bar to Louis.
Sunday included: Dim Sum at the place on Cumberland and 8th street, Strawberries and Cream Frappacinos from Starbucks and Hockey with little brother at the Brunskill Rink. *Please do not use this information to stalk me. :) The evening ended my weekend perfectly in that the temperature was so perfect. I was wearing a bunnyhug and could see my breath but was as toasty as a cinnamon bun.

Losing my blogging virginity...
Dear Diary,
I wish I had friends. But, seriously I really do. LOTS!!!!! Today's entry will explore a variety of topics including: the Starbucks vs Timmys debate, Beyonce's new dance craze and last but not least the wild world of public transportation.
Up to bat first is my rant on coffee. Whether you drink coffee or not statistics would suggest that you likely know someone who does. Starbucks often gets a bad rep that it is stuck-up and snobby because it uses tall, grande and venti for its size names. However, it offers superior service for a reasonable price. Albeit, Tim Hortons does have a market. But really until I'm too old to taste the coffee, WHY BOTHER?? It is merely brown water. If I am stuck on campus, I simply order half coffee, half hot chocolate to dilute the flavour.
Secondly, if you have time go to youtube and watch Beyonce Single Ladies video, I highly recommend you do so. It is so addicting. Also, there are some great spoof videos too. My favourite part of the dance is where she punches the air in a downward motion. Enjoy!
Lastly, what is the deal with the bus. Blah! People smell funny and I'm not excluding myself from this observation. Main pet peeves are people yelling into their phones or the bus being nowhere near the posted time. When I grow up I am totally getting a car. I want to put a licence plate on my bike that says "My other ride is the bus." So much shame. The DART bus acronym should be Departs At Random Times.
